Make sure you dont have some firewall stopping your PC talking to "127.0.0.1" (ie itself)

Even with ZoneAlarm switched off, but still installed, I haven't been able to get it to find the engine. Uninstalling ZoneAlarm did it for me. See if you can let XLink gain full access past the firewall...

Didn't have any firewall running, soft or hard, but just did a reinstall and all worked fine.  Thanks....

NP. Reinstall of what though? WinPCap? and what version? Might help out some other people in the future...
