Xlink Shooting Me Errors-whats Wrong?

I installed xlink and installed the update (xlink224final.zip) and it ran great, then I got my computer fixed (had to put in some new resistors) and now it doesnt work, so I uninstalled it and reinstalled. I keep getting this message-



Run-time error '-2147220990 (80040202)':

Procedure PacketGetAdapterNames failed. Error Code=6




How do I fix this?
