although i cant speak directly for TD, i do want to say that i am fairly certain that this is lowest on the priority list next to kai and then factions. Not to rain on anybody's parade, just that if you think about it, why would he devote a lot of precious time to making the xbox portion of a remote control app for the competition that he did as a tech demo work over a totally new and improved client of his own?

Not that I really care but it's tough to assume that all of the people having this problem have an old or bad NIC card (especially when Xlink, Bo-Xlink, XBC, and just about every network works flawlessly).  I doubt there is a unique NIC requirement just for this piece of software.

I get 126 also...

I just wish more people would play on XLink instead of XBC,
seems like its alot easier to me...just not enough people to kill out there

Guess I'm gonna have to renew my Live subscription for one more year  :p

Kudos to all the XLink crew, everything is great (we can't blame you guys for what XBC does.

Perhaps you should release the source for XBC-link.  That way other overly-ambitous members who do have time could look into bugs that it is having.

It seems that as the XBC-Link is laucnhed on the XBOX, it must be communicating successfully with the PC at first because it is the PC that comes up with the error.  Perhaps the packet that the pc receives is from 0.0.0.1 (the ip that all xboxes use in system link mode) and it doesnt know how to respond and therefore throws the error.  This wouldn't explain, however, why it is the that XBOX XBC-link client freezes the box though.

Yeah, starting XBCLink on the XBOX first works for me... but yes, I would like this program to be kept up to date, as XBC has a gigantic amount of users and being able to join them when near nobody is on Xlink that would be nice.  Yeah?

With the limited time available to TD, most of it's going into coding Kai. The rest is going into eating, drinking at the pub, and sleeping smile.gif

I'm okay with that but I draw the line at getting laid.  If it comes to that he best have this thing fixed. biggrin.gif

I think that's a good idea... why not release the source until Kai Final is released?

I start xbc on my comp and then I log in, next I run the xbc-link program on my computer and have it locate the xbc program file. When I go to run the xbc-link program on the xbox my computer gets a runtime error 10047 'address family not supported'

Does anybody have any ideas on what the problem is and how I can fix it ?

Thanx in advance

You aren't alone - a few of us have encountered the same thing (I think maybe XBC changed something in their program as it was fairly recent).  Someone on the XLink team was looking into it but they never got back to us - obviously XBC isn't their primary concern, maybe we'll hear something soon.
