Xlink Help
« on: October 25, 2003, 05:13:00 PM »

Just use XLink for the mean time and try to get a game of Top Spin working. If you still have trouble, try another system link game. Make sure you see your Local XBox and all the other Remote XBoxes (easiest place to find players will be rooms mode)..

If you can get it all workin through XLink, then switch over to Bo-XLink.

You could just have a large ping to the game you were trying to connect to or something or other...

Thanks to people on the irc channel I have worked it out and did get it to work:)

But it wasnt working in a very safe mode, I had to turn off my firewall, Wich in 2days world of virus`s/trojans and other things that are around, Its not ideal, My firewall is zonealarm Pro, so unless anybody knows the settings to get it working properly, I will have to put my online gaming to a pause.

Still guys keep up the very good work....

Lots of ppl have expressed concerns about the zonealarm thing... seems like zonealarm is the only firewall which xlink doesnt like...

I've just obtained zonealarm, and will have a good play with it today... maybe it's some crazy setting somewhere?? Must be - as I know others have tried simply allowing the 34518/9 ports.. and it wouldnt work..
