Its not seeing my xbox because i didnt place it in system link mode because its working fine that part and it likes to reset itself checking the mac address?(had trouble getting xbc to work in the first place due to that but works fine now after it finding it once without resetting). RC1 did work for me but then again this was before ICS so i wouldnt know if it would work now.. probably not.

Hmm.. well, if ure ICS has any forwards set, get rid of them.. also - do u have a router too? or not??

Although, this looks more typically like a firewall problem...

Please post back with ure layout.... ie:

Wall socket <--> ADSL Modem <--> USB Port on PC <--> PC <--> NIC <--> Crossover <--> Xbox

etc...

Cheers

Your layout is exactly right my good man and nope i dont own a router. If its any help to you at all my ISP is Bt Broadband and i didnt fancy splashing out on a router so i used ICS. Even with the firewall complety disabled its still a no no. My ICS doesnt have any forwards set because like i said i cant find any properties to open or close ports.. ICS was in the early stages with Win98se i guess so im pretty much buggerd..Im either going to have to get a router or put on XP (which i do own but to be honest dont really want on since it will probably abuse my 300 128meg machine into a coma)

Yeah i am sorry ive been out for most of the night but to be honest i doubt we would of been able to fix it.. I just installed XP on my machine (didnt do a clean install just over the top) and all the ports have magically opened up Edonkey/Emule uses those ports no problems now what so ever with ICS so it does seem like a windows 98se problem but yet life isnt that simple is it.. Its giving me packet errors even after uninstalling and installing it again tried it with xbc and it cant find WinPcap so after unistalling and installing that it is still not finding it.. I'll spend some time on it tomorrow maybe installing diffrent versions seeing if that works.
