Hello there, I've seen many topics on how to CONNECT to xbox live, but just ONE on how to block it, and it's very old (2005) I don't really know if it works nowdays.
I just need a sure fire way to block the whole xboxlive, I don't want any of the boxes I have at home even seeing it, BUT I want them avaliable for lan playing....
I have a Siemens SpeedStream 4200-Series ADSL modem and a WRT54G with the DD-WRT firmware.
I tried using the acesses restrictions on the DD-WRT to block the xboxlive service, but the console still sees it. Later I tried blocking ports 88 and 3074 ou both UDP and TCP, still no success..
I hope you guys undestood me, I want xbox live to be totally invisble to the console, while having the rest of the internet and home network visible to it.
Any help on how to achieve that would be very

appreciated.
DD-WRT Ftw!!! Awesome firmware.
On topic. I would try setting xboxes to static ips. and dns servers and gateways with non used lan addresses.
Ie if the range of your lan dhcp pool is 192.168.1.10 - 192.168.1.30 set the dns to 192.168.1.80 and 192.168.1.81 and set the gateway to 192.168.1.82. That is if no machines are using any of those addresses.
Hopefully that will do it.
Other than that I would look more into mac address blocking or dns blocking configuration on dd-wrt.
