A Good Place For Year-by-year Xbox Live Join Statistics?

Your best bet may be to email Xbox Support or Microsoft and see if they have anything, I know in the XS news articles there have been posts of how many users on on and what not so you could search those archives as well.

Ms tends to keep their xbox live statistics close to their chest.  They normally tout their '6 million subscribers' number but they neglect to tell you how many of those are gold.  I do know that the major nelson blog puts out the most active xbox live games each month, though I'm not so sure about yearly statistics.
