How Should I Make My Softmodded Xbox Ready For Live
« on: May 05, 2007, 01:12:00 PM »

I have a softmodded Xbox with Krayzie's 1.1 and want to start using Live.  I need to know what to delete, change, or what to make sure I do not do.  I know never to play a game off the HDD and to always coldboot.  I have all the Halo 2 maps but do I need to delete them if they came from a burned disc?  I installed the maps the first time from the original disc but I believe the maps on one of my Xboxs came from a burned disc.  Does it matter how they were installed?  I also have some trainers that are in EvoX but I never use them.  Do I need to delete them?  I have briefly read about the "marriage theory" and I have a 160 GB HDD in my Xbox but it has never been connected to Live.  If i connect to Live now will I never be able to change the HDD without using a different eeprom?  Are there any other things I need to change?

Thanks a lot!

As long as the xbox hard drive is locked and the EEPROM is in good standing you should be fine to connect. I don't believe it was ever proven having trainers or what not on your hard drive would get you banned. As you said don't try to boot games off the hard drive and do a cold boot - you should be fine smile.gif
