Got Banned Using Sid4.5 Softmods
« on: August 26, 2006, 01:14:00 AM »

Ok, I've been softmodding hardcore and have really gotten into it for the past 6 months or so and I try to sign on Xbox Live today and get the message "MODIFIED XBOX ERROR" which we all know to be the banning of your Xbox's EEPROM, unless of course there is just some problem with Xbox Live (which I highly doubt, although there was an Xbox Live server power outage today). So my question is how in the F*CK did my Xbox get banned? The SID 4.5 softmod installer prevents the signing on of Xbox Live to make this type of banning impossible. I'm thinking it might have something to do with the hacked firmware that I flashed to my SDG 605 VB drive, although I have been on live with this hacked firmware for well over a month now and haven't been banned until now. Anyone know whether or not flashing firmware to the DVD drive can get your EEPROM banned?

In the end, I'm probably just gonna buy a new xbox, snatch it's eeprom without anyone ever noticing, and return the Xbox back to the store for a full refund.
