Network Problems

Okay I have evoX installed and xbox media center.  I tried to cold boot halo 2 to get onto xbox live like i normally do and It says that it couldn't connect to XBL.

Then i went to xbox media center, went to the movie trailers part and streamed some movie trailers fine.

so basically, it is something with my box.  has anyone encountered this problem before?
