Use your web browser and point it to http://192.168.1.1/

That should give you access to your router settings.  From here you can turn off the wireless part of it.  You can also find your MAC address and even use the MAC address clone feature to use the same MAC address as your computer's nic.

I have not been here for a while but my search pulled up this post.  Recently I have lost my live abilities at school.  I have been running a router with the box and computer for a year, and last week they decide to shut off my connection untill they had someone check my place that a router was disconnected.  I am at the University of Texas in Arlington and this is crap, their responce when I called asking about opening some ports or mac address?? that I have read other schools do was to shoot me down and said there was no educational value to video games.  So I question my 2 tvs, mind you I am in a university apartment, and other noneducational activites that are a nice way to forget about staring at numbers for a while with. They just remind me that routers wase bandwidth and not plug them in.  So I hate to rehash an old topic but here I am.  Is there any way to tell what they can see on my end, or would installing another ethernet connection into my new pc and then putting the xbox into that another route to get banned? grr.gif
