Xbox Software Or Hardware May Have Been Modified!
« on: July 20, 2006, 10:42:00 PM »

well you are for sure banned, but thats a given, since you just payed for a new year on your account and Im guessing you want to keep that account, you are going to need a new eeprom, and a stock sized hdd. You can still use your old banned hdd, but you will need to have a hdd switcher, i think x-tender makes a kit.
But to simply get back online, you need:

New Virgin Eeprom + Stock Sized Hdd + Your Old GT= Live.

I know its a little bit late but you probably should have used Live Blocking Bios. They have saved me a few times in some lapses of judgement. Anyways, best of luck getting back on live.

Well i can get a new EEPROM from a friend but than the HD could be a problem, Do u really need a new HD , can't i just lock my HD ( put chip off) when going online?

Well it looks like you are going to have to "zero" that HDD like I had to in order to get back on XBL.  I had to do it for my son and I.  Yep, that's it along with the virgin eeprom which will clear that HDD key and the online key that was used before.  I've done multiple trial and error combonations of everything.  That's why my son's box has a mod but all of the evox files and folders are on the "F" partition.  The original M$ dash is the ONLY thing on the "C" partition.  I used the install Evox/Apps "ALL ON "F" option.  One thing you must do is ensure that your bios is configured to point to that "F" partition at boot. I don't believe the "E" can be viewed by other parties.  I've also removed the M$ link on the Evox dash board so it will prevent my son from accidentally going there while the chip is enabled.

In order for him to even go on XBL he has to press the "x" button to boot the original dash which will disable the chip automatically.  Just had to make sure the HDD was locked prior cause you cant't even boot to the Original M$ dash with an unlocked HDD.  Now if my son gets banned then I'll know that it is definitely the upgraded HDD which has been detected by M$ some how.  My Box doesn't have any mods at all just to see if my son gets banned.  If he doesn't then this is indeed the way to go.  It is sort of a stealth mode.  I will definitely drop in my 160GB Western Digital if I prove to be right.

I did not have to get stock HDD's in order to get back on XBL.  My son has an 80G Maxtor so that's proof that you don't need a stock HDD.  Maybe some people do and some don't.  I just had to see for myself and VOILA, spare HDD lying around the house.  See the whole idea is to get rid of that old information on your motherboard and replace it with virgin information.  If you try to edit your eeprom using Config Magic Final.  You will cause even more problems for yourself.  I wrote down both my son's and I:

S/N
MAC Addresses
onlinekey
Unlock HDD key (especially)
HDD S/N
HDD Model

Keep all this information handy for trial and error later if need be!

Hey Hetbaasje what happened so far?  Did you get everything up and running or what?  Post what you've done so we all may learn of what you did.  Well I was wrong on the HDD deal; my son got banned again and I know it was because of the HDD being over 10G.  Now I'm about to do one more thing to confirm this for sure.  I'm going to place a larger HDD inside without a modchip even being on the motherboard.  If he gets banned this time it is definitely the HDD.  See I had left the chip in place and put all evox files inside the "F" partition.  I know they couldn't see the contents in there.  So it had to be that the HDD had reported back all of its information to M$.  The bios was set up to switch over to the original unless the hacked bios remained in the memory some how.
