Installing A New Hdd And Using Live On It....
« on: July 12, 2006, 09:01:00 AM »

Hello, it is possible to replace your Hdd and still go on Live now. You will need a few things to make sure that you don't get banned. You will need a virgin eeprom, meaning and eeprom that hasn't been on Live. They can be purchased in the BST forum, I usually point people to zodiiak as a trusted seller. There is another thread here about how to use configure magic to replace your eeprom.
And I can't remember the size limit now but I think that the kimit is into the 500gb range (correct me if Im wrong) I believe that you just have to partition them correctly. I think the limit for each partition is around 250gb (again correct me if I'm wrong please) So there are very few limitations to Hdd size anymore, and of course you know how to reformat your Hdd and all. I think thats about it, new eeprom, new hdd, ya if you've never been banned then your gt should be good and clean, and if you are using it currently with your large hdd on live, thats a good sign its clean also. You should be ready to upgrade. Best of luck and keep us posted to your progress.
