If your talking about Gamerscore thats a 360 only attribute. You have to play 360 games and unlock achievements to get points.
If you are talking about Market place points ,this is also a 360 only extra, you use the credit card you signed up to live with to pay for points to buy stuff with, such as extra content, themes, and gamerpics.
