even if u use the original halo 2 disk?

yes put the disk in first then restart the xbox with the disk in so it skips going to the hacked dash, the is called coldbooting. although if ur planning to play halo 2 i'd recomend not having any modified maps of memisis maps on ur xbox, ur box  scanned when u sign on and u will be banned from matchmaking permently. also if the game ur playing requires an update to play u have to restore back to the orginal dash for the update.
