First oF all I am new to XBLive. I am in the process of actuall loggig on. I got my XBLive subscription card and headset. I get all the way to entering my subscription code and it says unable to connect due to technical difficulties. Please try again later...
I dont know whats up but does that mean I got banned already?

How is your system modded? Did you log in using hacked bios? When you go through the troubleshooter, does it make it all the way to xbox live found? We need to know more info before we can help.

OH yes I am using an X 2.6 here on a 1.6b xbox. I can get all the way to the enter the subscription screen just after the troublehootong logon screen. Then it says unable to connect due to techincal difficulties...

Im beginning to think that the code from the subscription is bad. The card is says xbox360 on it. The guy at the store told me that it would work for both. But I dont know. Cause It seems like my xbox lets me ON to XBLive. But it just doesnt like the code...
Also yes I use only the original dash to try to log onto XBL. With the chip off...

I read in the xyz thread that you need to install Xbox live. what does that mean? Isnt it installed on the orignal ms dash? Or do I need to do more than a headset and subscription card to get on XBL? Do I need to sign up first with cc???

Do I have to sign up online first with a credit Card? Then enter my subscription? Im confused. Casue I havent done that. I just have the subscription card and headset.

I just signed up online witha computer. But I did not see anywhere to enter my credit card while registering. So Now I have tried to recover account cause trying to creat new account and entering the name I just regestered says that the name is already regetered...Yes to me. So I have to use the recover account and so far it just tells me that it cant connect try back later...

THE CARD i HAVE THAT SAYS XBOX360 ON IT IS ONLY FOR 360'S. I cant fucking believe that!!!

Sorry to not respond for awhile, but ya you have to use the old style subscription cards for xbox and the new ones for 360. I suggest taking it back and saying wtf you said it would work I want a refund. So what you are saying is your xbox can connect to live correct? Through the troubleshooter. If it can then ya all you need is another sub card, if not you might have another problem.

Today I went and borrowed my friends unmodded never touched xbox and it gave me the same thing...So I called up the MS tech number and we figured it out...
And Yes I did explicitly ask the Deuche at the store about it and he told me they work for either or. I was like ok? You know what you're talking bout...
Is there someway I can order one off ebay and have the code emailed? How would I go about finding those auction specifically???

Well I am on XBLive...
Finally with the help of destroysbc. But now every game I put in stops me and says that I need to update in order to play live. Wont that nuke my other dash's or somethin? It wont let me on to play unless I do it...
