I dunno,

I've been using my modded box (X3) on Live for over a year now, and I haven't been banned yet.
I even have my EvoX dashboard and shortcut XBE to XBMC on my C drive.

heres a solution get a chip control panel tht can turn the chip off and hve 2 xbox harddrives ones the retail non modded and ones the modded use the retail for live and the modded for shit like xbc and xlink thts what im doing and hvent been banned but i also dont hve a chip just softmod

I've been banned too, about 5 days ago.
Still searching for a solution though. I read some articles about it and i saw that it had to do something with you IP-adres. well, i read that you've gotta renew your contract with your provider or just ask for a new IP-adres. that's cos M$ won't unblock your IP-adres, once it's blocked.
What i was planning to do was, buy another xbox (core this time) and renew my IP-adres. and then buy the games i'd like to play online legaly... but i'm still not sure if M$ can't check the achievements I achieved whilst playing a game that wasn't on the market yet. So maybe i should buy a memory card too?

does this help or is this just a waist of miney and time?

Far from that.

Your IP Address has NOTHING to do with a banning.

Your console itself was banned. You can buy a replacement EEPROM and reflash your console, or just buy a new console and keep it stock.

heres something to throw a wrench in everyones thinking..... i just booted up an xbox 1 that hasnt been booted or on live for 5 1/2 months.... booted yesterday. (after it working before) BANNED... duox2 chip with 160gb hdd. :\

Very strange. I booted mine about 3 months ago and was banned but they didnt know I was. They kept telling me my network was the problem because it would fail the live test. they took my codes and kept coming back saying "Are you sure you enabled the ports" I told them I disconnected the router they said to go to a friends house and try it. I just hung up with him and put a new eeprom on my box and it worked so I assume I was banned.
