I agree, M$ do not make too much profit on their xbox hardware sales (i.e. xbox, memory cards etc). Therefore money has to be made elsewhere, with M$ it's xbox and the internet.
Many, many people use xbox live and probably 90-95% are original xbox users!

So, why cancel 90% of part of your profits!
I don't thnk M$ will cancel live for the orig. xbox users!

Although they loose money on console sales accssories such as memory cards, controllers, remotes, etc. are marked up quite a bit.

I  bought a Xbox Live gold Subscription card for 1 month.  It says for the 360 on it but I asked the deuche at the store and he said it would work for both XB1 and 360...
