Sorry For Another "am I Banned Thread"
« on: May 28, 2006, 06:38:00 PM »

So I go to sign onto xbox live earlier. I've gotten in a pretty good habit to turn off my x3 modchip while booting my xbox (long press) because I've been playing xbox live more then not as of late.

So I sign in and am idling my xbox while I'm on my computer. To my horror the x3 light is blue (on) instead of red (off). But it doesn't make sense, I remember thinking that I did a long press right before I stuck in my halo disk, then sat on my computer to do something. Another thing that confuses me, because one time I got banned by trying to sign onto xbox live with my modchip on 8 months ago was that it wouldn't let me connect, it would just give me errors immedietly, but I was of course banned the next day. This time it just connected right up, which is bizarre because this should even be possible unless I'm mistaken.

Plus the x3 bios has xbox live accidental prevention, so I figured that would kick in if I tried to go to xbox live (it's happened before)

Could it be possible it was just a faulty light, or am I gonna see my favorite "moddified hardware" error when I try to sign on tomorrow.

Argh, what a pain sad.gif

Sometimes, the actual chip briefly loses connection with the pin header, causing the light to switch from red to blue.  Mine did this multiple times while I was playing halo 2 online, and I have never been banned.  So, you shouldn't have any worries.

Yeah, I checked today and I wasn't banned, and the light just switched again when I just tried turning it on.

I swear my xbox is just trying to give me a heart attack, but thanks for your post, gives me a big sigh of relief that it's not a bios issue, just the light issue biggrin.gif
