Banning Questions - 2nd Xbox, Can I Pop In Larger Hd?
« on: May 14, 2006, 11:57:00 AM »

if my info is correct you CAN put in a larger hdd and get on live as long as you cold boot str8 to the game without going to the softmod dashboard. However, you can't use a larger hdd if your GT has been flagged (banned on old xbox with "software/hardware moddification error" message) in other words you'd have to use the stock hdd. But I could be wrong... someone will have to quote me on this.

marriage does not involve the gamertag, if the HD and eeprom of the xbox are married that marriage is enforced no matter what gamertag you use

if you want to put a large HD in you will need a new eeprom

I know of the marriage theory but I'm wondering about this unique situation. Basically I'm asking if the marriage will be linked to just the gamertag in question, or any gamertag (if that makes sense?)

That's not a unique situation and someone didn't bother to read the marriage theory.

The xbox has been on live before so if you swap the hdd & try to connect, guess what's gonna happen?

Like Lordvader129 said, you'll need a new hdd and a new eeprom.
