Joypad Doesn't Work On Homebrew Games

Hi all,
I can't have my xbox Joypad work on homebrew games. At "press start", nothing seems to react (must reset the console).
Same when launching a game in an emulator (snes for example).
The pad works perfectly with xbox games.
What is strange is that it once worked, but I don't remember in what conditions :unsure:
Can someone give me some help? Many thanks in advance.
