When I try to connect (using ICS), xbox live says :The network gateway could not be reached. Verify the IP addresses match the settings provided by your ISP.

How do I stop this?

I take it your cable/DSL modem is connected to your computer via USB?

Yes, my modem is connected through USB. It's a D-link DSL 302-G, if that helps.

When I turn it to auto it says that DCHP (or something like that)or PPoE (not sure) can not be found.

What do I do?

Yeah, they said they couldn't help, they told me to call M$, and (as predicted)

didn't help me at all. The error is a gateway one, and red the top post for the exact info
