Xbox Live With New Large Hdd?
« on: March 16, 2006, 10:47:00 AM »

I have a question about live and need some answers before i go on it.Here is what i want to do ( or know )
1. Install a Maxtor 200 gig and a executer 2.6 chip. Can i set this up for live? Do i need to install a dash a certain way? I not sure how this would work if i have avalaunch and xbox dash on c: drive. I have modded plenty of xbox's but have set one up for live. My brother wants his setup but he wants to keep live. So i'm asking her before i get him bannned. Is there a tut on the net i read?

Only if your Xbox has never been on live. If it has, you'll need a new EEPROM.

So its never been on live, but you dont have the original EEPROM? That doesnt make sense because the only reason you would need a new one is if your got banned or you upgraded your HD AFTER you've been on live. You've never been on live so you should have the original EEPROM.

That IS a little odd if you don't have the original eeprom...

I'd suggest reading How to Play on Xbox Live with a Modded Xbox by shanafan:
