Is It Possible...

Is it possible to play on Xbox Live with a backed-up game with a softmod?  I've heard that people have done it but I don't know if it's true.  If people are able to hack Halo 2 on Live then there must be a way to get on Live with a softmod enabled, right?  I've asked this question before and got no responses so I'm still curious-- please just let me know if it's possible or not guys.  Thanks.

Wrong, because there usually banned the next day.
