You didnt waste any money, if the code was bad it would tell you that it was invalid.

You probably have a problem with your connection/ISP settings.

i have a modded xbox that i bought from a store, it has evolution x and im not sure what kind of chip installed. the guy said when i wanna go online with the box i can just load the MS dash and go online, but i too when trying to connect get a "unable to connect due to technical difficulties" message..it then takes me to the troubleshooter, goes through the necessary checks and says everything is ok "connected to xbox live" takes me to the "welcome to the future of gaming" screen i click continue and i get the same "unable to connect" message. comcast says everything is ok with my connection. what do u i do?
