I just installed a brand new Motherboard and Matching harddrive in my xbox, tried to get on live, and still got the 00C2 error. I thought that 00C2 was an inconsistancy between the EEPROM and the hardware. Does the DVD drive affect this possibly. Or are my parts not truly new?

well i have a box that is able to connect to xbox live
but when i block the xbox live ports on my router the box reports a 00C2 on the Y code
then i unblock the ports and it is able to get on xbox live again with no 00C2
so check the help tab when trying to connect
if it doesnt say anything about a modded box, then you might just need to forward some ports
