First off I was wondering if I was banned or just suspended. I can log onto live and join custom games but cannot partake in matchmaking. The message say that I've been permanently suspended. You are just banned from matchmaking in halo. You cannot undo that. Gamertag is banned. That isnt xboxlive, that is bungie. You can still play other live games. You were cheating in halo most likely.

you can still get banned when playing customs.

Yep. IF you play customs with modded maps, you will be banned from matchmaking. Then all you can play in is customs
