Modified Xbox Error

alright deal with me here. I have 2 modded xboxs.One softmodded and one with a xecuter 2 chip.I played online for one day and the next I got a modified xbox error.I played both of my xboxs online before I modded them.Im not really interested in changing my EEPROM so this is my question Has anyone ever put there old hard drive in a xbox and used it online.My old hard drive should work right?

Well, since you played online before with your stock HDD, it married that stock HDD to your EEPROM. Since you changed the HDD, Live saw that the EEPROM and HDD didn't match so you were banned. Now, you need a completely different HDD (neither upgraded or stock will work now since one was banned and the other was mated to the original EEPROM) as well as a new EEPROM.

Next time post in the proper forum and don't get all bent out of shape because someone pointed it out to you. Not only did you post in the 360 forums instead of the Xbox forums, but your posted in Hardware Modding instead of the Xbox Live forums...

Moving to a more appropriate forum...

your old HD should work as long as its not the one that was in use when you got banned

youll also need a new virgin eeprom

and the gamertag you were using when you got banned is now flagged and can only be used with stock HDs
