I signed up for xbox live before modding my v1.0 xbox; that is before installing a chip and bigger HD. After putting in a Xecuter 2.3B Lite Plus and a 200GB HD i got banned from Xbox live (with the chip off, of course.) I then cancelled my xbox live subscription because i thought that my xbox was useless to go on Live. I have heard that you can just get a new EEPROM and then go on xbox live. Should I try to get a new EEPROM from the Buy/Sell section and then sign up for a new xbox live account? Will it work with a new EEPROM? Please give some good advice!!!

you would need a new eeprom AND a new hard drive

since you would be making a new gamertag the HD can be of any size (if you wanted to use your old GT that got banned you would have to use a stock hard drive)

Back when I first got banned "didnt know Live was set to auto signin" I bought a new eeprom and put an old 10 gig maxtor I had laying around and used the account recovery and I never got banned again using the same gamertag on a new hd and new eeprom. I had it for months untill just recently when I upgraded my HD and don't have any of my old billing info to recover my account

Buy a new eeprom from Zodiiak (in the B/S/T forums) and either get a stock hard drive OR a new larger hard drive.

Zodiiak will email you a new eeprom file AND instructions on how to flash your eeprom through Configmagic.

A very important question to ask is: When did you get banned? Since if it was before July of 2004, you can keep the large HDD and just flash a virgin eeprom. But again, that would ONLY work if you were banned BEFORE July of 2004.

Other than that, just like Lordvader said:

New virgin EEPROM + never-been-banned Stock or Large HDD + New Gamertag = XBOX Live!

is it possible to flash my xbox eeprom with my stock hd and then replace it with the big hd that i currently have (the one that was in the xbox when i got banned). i want to keep the hd because of all my games/videos that are still on it.

if it is possible, do i flash my eeprom with the large hd or the stock hd? when do i sign up for xbox live, when i flash the eeprom with the large hd or the stock hd and then change the hd after signing up for xbox live with the stock hd?

please help

it doesnt matter which HD is physcially in the xbox when you flash the eeprom, the HD is not effected (just make sure you unlock them both before you flash)

when you go on Live you MUST use the stock HD, the large HD has been banned and will only result in another ban if its taken on Live again, it can be used offline though

exchange it for a different large HD

for the third or fourth time, you MUST get a NEW larger HD
