Banned From Xbl
« on: September 09, 2005, 01:49:00 PM »

Well i got banned from xbl finally. Didnt do anything wrong either. Didnt mod on games or anything like that. I just woke up and found out i was banned.  I havent been here in a while so ive been reading up on how to get bak on. So far i got this:

Need a new eeprom-got
Need a new hd-Got its an unlocked stock

Now im wondering since they flag gamertags how do i get my hd to be completely stock and get it to work withmy new eeprom. I know i need config magic but what should i do. load the new harddrive in with the new eeprom. Flash it. Then use slayers to get my harddrive back to stock.

Am i right or am i missing something. Any help? thanks

as long as the HD is a stock model you will be fine, they dont scan HD content (save for hacked files pertaining to the game youre playing)

With the cost of Xbox systems falling, your best bet might be purchasing a used unit off eBay (unmodded of course)...and using it for Live only. That would save a lot of headaches, and you won't need to worry about being banned.

i am thinking about buying a new xbox so i dont have to go through all this hassle but with school just starting and 360 coming out soon, i really need watch what i spend. if i cant get this to work then maybe i will if i find one cheap

anyways i was messing around and ilooked at my xyz codes. here it is.

1.00.5971.01
W: 0000-000B
X: 0000-F001
Y: 00C2-03E0
Z: 0000-0000
L: 0 MS

First thing i notice was the Y code. it has C2. so i looked around and read that i have a problem with my hardware. The problem may be the region not being set right. is this true. if it is ill find Enigmah PAL-NTSC and change the region around. but the thing is when i looked on xbins it wasnt there. is it under a different name or is there something like it.

QUOTE
Chris, or anybody else who has this problem, here's exactly what I did to get back on live:

Unlocked HD with configmagic. My HD was stock, so I had to connect my 80 gigger to run Enigmah Videomode changer thing, I changed from NTSC to PAL, then back to NTSC. I turned off the xbox, reconnected my stock live drive with slayers in and the chip on, and used slayers to lock the HD. Restart xbox with chip off and slayers out and voila! Hopefully works as well for you as it did for me.

Kevin

am i right

the thing is my stock harddrive has files like dashboards and other apps on the C and E drive. what should i do about that.

Good luck, and report back. Since if it's successfull, pinning those steps might be a good idea.

Yeah, the serial number, along with the mac address have to show on your xbox dash, and I know for sure that the MAC address it is a must, I'm not sure about the serial.

Well, if you followed the steps correctly, I'm sorry it didn't work. C2 error is a tricky one, and as I said in that post, that recovery method most of the times don't work. I'll pay more attention on wich specific codes can be fixed and I might add it to a tut that I've been trying to get done for a long time now.

Thanks for reporting, mate.

And good luck with your new eeprom.

got one more quick question. i have 6 accounts on my xbox. 2 being mine the others are friends and family. is it safe to reflash my eeprom to the old one that had the accounts and then reflash it again n transfer it to my new hard drive. and then keep repeating the process until its done.

heres what i was going to do.

put in my old harddrive
flash the old eeprom
get the gt
flash the new eeprom
then connect the new harddrive
and copy over the new gt
then repeat for the others
