2 Xboxes On Live At The Same Time

Yes it is possible

You need

2 Xbox consoles
2 Copies of Halo 2
A broadband connection that can be shared best bet is via a router
2 Xbox Live gamertags
and 2 TVs

It should be a simple case of plug and play

Acctually their is a limitation.

You will need broadband but not the low end. You need like an upload speed like a mb, because and an xbox allocates a certian amount bandwith just for itself (atleast thats what xbox live told me).

Xbox live is not a person its a services so it could not have told you anything.

The lowest end requirements for XBox live are 64K/s up and 64K a second down.

However this is just for basic connection the more bandwidth the better.

I have played with another person in the same house on Xbox live on a 512/256 ADSL line with out any lag but then the games we where playing only had a few people in them.

Yes bandwidth will be an issue in larger games but its more importand to have a higher download then upload as you receive more information than you send

Idiot, you idiot. Jesus frackin christ I am not going to remeber the guys name I talked to on 18004myxbox two weeks about not letting my account renew, because of the cheating. When I was talkin to the guy I asked him about that because my friend wanted to come over with his box and a 2 month trail and play xbl on my connection (while I had 3 ppl on my box and he had another 3 on his).

The guy said that if the bandwith can not support it will just boot an xbox off randomly saying you are havin network issues. I have done it on my 728 up, 5mbs dl and only had an issue when it was more like containment, and the host wasn't to good, but it was livable.

You should have said it was a customer service rep not Xbox live so I am not an idiot.

Also for the 64K min bandwidth requirement well lets just say I know stuff about stuff and leave it at that. I state again that is the lowest ammount of bandwith required to maintain a connecton to the Xbox live service I never said it would allow you to play games.

And finally once again. I played on the same broadband connection with 2 Xboxes at a limit of 512/256 Down/up in the past. It is not ideal to do this but you can do it and many people have

Hmm, if someone says they talked to xbox live, that means they talked to a service rep, thats the only way you could ever say you talked to xbox live unless you sat their and talked to live starter kit.

The guy said you needed 1mb to play the games with no issue. I never said its impossible to do that, just it gets to be an issue, espically in halo 2 were host is everything, and havin a tiny bit of lagg can cause you to miss the final kill ( I would no).

And their is still the issue of if both the boxs are on the 256up and one box starts hoggin the bandwith, the over will be kicked off live. I have not had that issue with my 1mb.

We both agree it is possible, just disagree on the detials of speeds it takes to play a decent game, right?

A 1MB up for more than 1 XBox is madness.. Yes its true a 2MB connection will be better than a 512MB conection but your contention ration matters just as much as bandwidth. I went from 42-1 t 28-1 and seen great gains on pings and less lag issues.

Like I said before you send less info than you receive so your upload is not as inportand than your download and it would only be a real problem if you where the host rather than just playing in a party.

I would not host a game with more than 1 Xbox connected at a time.

By the way.. I knew the minimum connection speed that is required... but I think that the download wasn't 64k... I'll check to see if I can find it.

I said a broadband connection that can be shared. I never said you have to use a router. but it was make it alot easier to do that playing with ICS and multiple network cards
