How can you tell if you get standbyed, and if you do, how can you tell who's doing it?

"you can find out who is host by holding the back button"

?  Is there some little notification there I'm not seeing?  (not looking at it right now, but I've never noticed anything).

I had one game where it kept doing the resetting up the game like the host dropped completely, but when it started back up it still had 8 players.

As a matter of fact I came to these forums to ask the same questions. I want to avoid getting standbyed in Team Slayer. It really has picked up since the bad kids can't mod right now. But standbyers now can lag out the other team or they will download a program off bittorrent then start killing you. Also lagging you out of the game. I know there is a way to force host. I have heard it has something to do with connection bridge on your modem or router i dunno which one. Really I dont know about these things but if I could host every game to avoid getting standbyed it would really help. i have also heard you can steal host when you match up and it goes to number 3. Also theres a secondary host which im not sure about either. you have to standby or something to steal host. Anyone that would be willing to help me figure this out or if they want to try some things out I would really appreciate that. My gamer-tag is Tyrant1.

I'm fully aware of how to setup a network bridge if that is what is needed, but I don't know what to do from there any help would be appreciated. I'm a legit 39 in slayer. I'm looking to continue to play on that account and get a challenge and not just get standbyed and lagged out when I play similiar ranks. Someone on these forums must know how to do it.
