Bungie NEW banning system. Is a MATCHMAKING ban!

You will NOT be able to play "MATCHMAKING" games.

You will still be able to play ARRANGE games with your LIVE buddies.

You will still be able to play OTHER XBOX LIVE games.

Bungie is only SCANNING your LIVE HALO2 folder on the E: drive.

If you want to "cheat" or play modded maps make a second HALO2 folder
for your saves and maps, using a previous published program which can
re-sign the save/game id, and generate another 55341FF32 (example)
folder for your "modded" saves, then use XBCONNECT or System Link
with your second XBOX and buddy.

Conclusions: The AU might scan for modded maps, but it doesn't scan for unsigned content on either one of your C or E partitions.

From what I've gathered, the hackers can still cheat if they had their xbox on since before the update was issued, once they reset their box then that should fix it. At least this is the rumor that was going around on the IGN boards.

Still on... I'd say it's pretty safe to have shit on your C and E drives. (except for modded maps and profiles)

Got it, no probs. All my crap is on E and F. I stay the hell away from C, just incase. Did anyone notice when they selected what matchmaking type, it said "Saving Game...Please wait."? I saw that. WTF. I can't play anything but H2H and Custom anyway. Fucking maps. Fucking dial up.

Doesn't AR change the save logo to it's own? That may constitute as modding, seeing as it's a modified file.

Still, if one wanted to be safe, is there ANY homebrew app out there that does not save prefs in E:? I've got all sort of saves from different homebrew apps, even though the main application is on F.
