Hello

Trying to setup xbox live for the first time but it keeps telling me xbox live not found.

I have a 1.3 version, modded with x2.3 and 250gb hd. It had never been on live before the hd swap. I've got 8mb line, ics setup ok, no probs there but heres the probs.....

Cable connect = OK
IP address = OK
DNS resolved = OK
XBox live = Not found.

Thers is nothing wrong with my isp, broadband is working fine etc etc.

Please help.

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but, have you created your xbox Live account yet ?

after you go through the troublshooting process and it tells you live not found push y and post the codes that it gives you.

Haven't an account as yet as I've never been on xlive before, thats what I'm trying to create now.

Ok, here are the codes it gave....

W:0000-000B

X:0000-F009

Y:00C2-03C0

Z:0000-0000

L:0ms (0ms) P:0/0

Do you know what this means?

ooc2 is t he problem in your y code....means hardware mismatch i think

hardware miss match?

can you explain a little?

My hd is locked and the xbox had never been online before the swap so can;t see that being the problem

did you buy the xbox new or used/refurbished? are you sure you never connected to Live for anything at all in the last 12 months? (no dashbaord updates, no random clicking around to see what does what)

Have you ever switched your video mode? or added any hardware to your xbox? Try loading your eeprom backup, and if that doesnt work, then get the enigmah video switcher and change you video mode and then change it back. Those are the simplest and quickest fixes to the c2 error but they dont always work.

Xbox was new

Never connected to live for anything - made very sure of this.

I have switched the video mode in the past but have always switched back to its original setting (pal).

Get the enigmah video switcher, that is the only program that i know of that rewrites the eeprom to the video standard, if you did it another way it could not have been proberly restored, I switched mine once and i got the c2 error, I'm betting the video switcher will work for you.

did you try both? reloading your eeprom, and using the video switcher?
