ok i have the qwest dsl router and i have to dissable the firewall on it to connect to xbox live. how can i make it so i can leave the firewall alone and still connect to xblive?

open these ports

• UDP 88
• UDP 3074
• TCP 3074

on those ports, yes, but what are the odds someone will try to hack on those ports? or hack you at all, and if your really worried about it get a software firewall on your PC

either way, you have to open those ports to use xbox Live, its like trying to get into your house, you have to unlock the door to get in

ok so do i just go to port forwarding and put in the port number and wether its udp or tcp or bolth then put in the ip of my xbox????

well my router/dsl gateway is just the one that quest gives you when you sign up. its the actiontec 1524.

i didnt call them today. i was out paintballing all day. ill call em on monday. man i hate doing this shit. why cant it just work like it is suposto(spelling?)
