Xbox Live Connection Problems
« on: March 19, 2005, 05:23:00 PM »

Just got a new eeprom, and a new hdd, and i want to get back online, but it says "Xbox Live not found"

I was thinking, If i delete all the files related to Xbox Live off of the HDD, and then tried to access Live from ingame, will I be fine?  Cuz i'm pretty sure that when the xbox was first released it didn't have the Live files on them.

Thats wierd but you could always check your XYZ codes and did u possibly play with the EEPROM did you change anything becuse the single change can cause the eeprom to Automatically over write the XYZ codes look around in the search you will find the forum for it.

Good Luck

I read fuzzy's post about it, but the only thing i don't get is the ATAPWD/HDDUNLOCK/LIVE thingy, where is a tutorial for this?  OI have the programs, just don't know what I'm supposed to do.

I did the enigmah switch, and it said it was already a NTSC box, which it should be.

hey poppeseed tough luck, in the xyz thread you said something about the dvd region being a 1 and now its a 0 or something of the sort, i dont know where but i remember reading about that. personally my box has no region dont really know how that works but, that could be a problem. from what i hear zodiak is one of the most reliable eeprom sellers around, if he did send you the wrong one im sure he'd help you out. try switching the dvd region and if that doesnt work then i would start thinking about buying a new box, but if it happened to me, i would just try and wait till the new xbox came out. hahah and before i figurd out my problem i spent around 3 hours with M$ tech support, and an hour with my isp, hahah my neck hurt like a b*tch. im really sorry i cant give ya the info you need but, just keep looking someone somewhere has had this same problem. I spent about 12 hours looking in forums before i found what cured me. Maybe try switching the mode to pal and then back to ntsc, thats what i did, then see what your codes are. maybe we can go from there, just an idea,

I tried the pal then back to ntsc.  Didn't work.  Tried changing the dvd zone, didn't work.  I just have to find a tutorial for using ATAPassword, HDD Unlock, and Live Info.

my xenium ice chip has an operating system that reads the key and locks and unlocks it correctly but now that i know that all this crap can go wrong i just leave it locked. if it werent for this chip and its incredible noob interface i would be lost and probable banned of there would be smoke coming outta my box. i also have a friend that has the same chip as me and the same version box, he helps me a lot. try finding some one with  your chip that really knows what they are talking about maybe they can give ya a hand.

same thing for me, i am fixing live for somebody that got banned. i put a new eeprom on the board using config magic 1.6.

everything went correctly, now however instead of saying that the box is banned. it
cannot connect to live now.
