i recently got banned after switching hdds from my original live hdd. figured eh, screw it ill just play halo2 on xbc. anyways i recently put my old original hdd back in and updated my xbox with a new virgin xbox eeprom just for the hell of it. to my surprise it worked and i was back on live. it was such a big surprise because this wud totally go against the marriage theory. so me and my friend go out and buy a brand new copy of halo2, open 2 live accounts and start playing (this is all yesterday by the way). then today we get back on and it still works fine.......until the first time we logout and try to log back in; "Your XBOX has been illegally modified"

i thought i had it all figured out........i thought i had beaten MS and was able to get back on live without a new hdd. boy was i wrong. fucking MS and bungie are a bunch of homos. i guess its back to xbc and xlink for now.

Lots of people my friend. Mostly people that wasn't aware of the marriage theory and only flashed a new eeprom. And people that upgraded HD's after playing with the stock drive, thus marrying stock HD and eeprom together.

do i HAVE to get a brand new hdd? or can i edit the hdd key sumhow and just put a new eeprom on with it??

How does this make MS gay? You did modify your Xbox so it's your own fault. Don't get me wrong, it still sucks but MS is not to blame.

ok i just bought a new virgin eeprom. is there anyway to use this and edit my hdd key as well so that i can get back on live?

You need NEW HARD DRIVE + NEW VIRGIN EEPROM + NEW (nonflagged) GAMERTAG.

Your current banned HD cannot be edited to change the HD key. Sorry.

IF I CAN FIND A FUCKING STORE THAT HAS ONE!!! Ive called 3 walmarts, 2 targets, and 4 eb games and no one has any xbox systems, not even used or refubished. This is fucking retarded......
