well so far your on the money...  Your good to go.

About the updating of your system...  to play halo2 for example,  it needs to update your system so it can add some features of live, and patches and so fort.  There's no way around it.  You can't hop online without taking the update.  I wouldn't worry bout it thou...

BTW,  if you want to upgrade your harddrive (if you haven't or not planning to) This is the best time to do it.  If u haven;t been on live ever,  then you might want to upgrade before going online...  if you change your hd after signing on,  then you will be banned...  Just some more info for ya...
