Since youre still using the trial,  Just cancel the one youre using now (you can do this on the dashboard now.. don;t have to call),  And activate another 2 months card to create the new name.  

I believe the only way to change your name is if the name you chose  is racist, or very vulgar,  like "assf*cker" or somethin..  they make you change it or somethin.

just cancel (make sure, or they'll charge your credit card), and create the new one with a new card.

The XBOX game I bought was from the US (ESPN) and came with the trial....it will be okay to use that trial on my US xbox even tho i'm in UK, right??

Thinking of buying a "Starter kit" so I can get the headset and my 12 month sub ready for after the trial expiry.

QUE: can I use the 12month code to purchase the years subscription after the 2 month trial ends on my new tag and keep that tag?

not necesarily

you can link the additional 12 months onto the 2 month trial...  total of 14 months with the same name.

just go to account management > renewal > subscription code

Ya I just added 12months to my 2 month subscribtion.  I needed another headset anyway so I got that and 12month card and crimson skies.
