I have the X2 in a 1.6 and live works great. I purchased the system, did the mod and HDD upgrade, locked the HDD, disabled the modchip and played on Live just fine.

any modchip is as good as th enext, id say make sure you use a bios with Live blocking though (i think yuo can add that to m8)

So far I dint signed in with my new xbox yet so if I upgrade to a new hard disk I will not get banned right ? I dint used xbox live yet with this new xbox
also i'm thinking about getting the Xecuter 3 then add a switch to the d0 point just to be sure its complete disabled

Ok I just ordered Xecuter 3 v1.6 rebuild PCB
Should I just use the D0 point to a switch to be 100 % sure that the chip is disabled so it doasnt magicly turns on when using xbox live ?

I have a Crystal 1.6 Xbox with an X3 and go online 24/7 and am just fine. The blue modchip light stays on when its disabled though.

the d0 switch would not work because that is used to boot off the lpc on boot

Where should I attach a switch to then to be sure its completely disabled when I turn the switch to off so xbox live doasnt turn it on with there jedi powers

for a 1.6? get a DPDT switch and put it on LAD0 and LFrame (this will require you to use wires to rebuild those points and not your PCB)

My setup (in sig) works great on Live, I got banned once 'cause I accidently turned the chip on. I just insert a stock HDD to play Live and I flashed a new EEPROM
