My box has been fine for two years now and just now it got banned.  Is anyone aware of a new mod check that M$ released??

no new checks lately, just the ol' marriage theory...this 250gb HD of yours (from your sig) has that been in there for 2 years?

the eeprom and HD get banned, so you need to repalce both of them (unfortunately)

your GT should be fine though

sad.gif ) because I was distracted whle putting in Halo 2 for some online play and forgot to turn the chip off so once I put in my password I was like "SHIT! I forgot!" and hit the power button as fast as possible but nope, banned the next day. I've been meaning to update my bios but just never got around to it so I guess I'll be getting a new unmodded Xbox later on.
Not really mad since it was my own fault.
