First, I have to admit that I'm an idiot.

I installed my X2.6 with X2 4983.05 bios and newest evox and it worked perfectly.

I received Xbox Live for Christmas and I was reading about it before I attempted to install it and play, because I knew about the banning, etc.

I was reading about Xlink on here, and I thought I'd give that a try before I tried Xbox live.

I was trying to connect to Xlink, and I hit the Xbox live button on my game. It started downloading stuff to my xbox HD and I freaked out knowing that I might get banned in the future when I installed my Xbox live. I powered down the xbox during the update (I know that was an idiotic move, so please take it easy on me).

I tried to restart the xbox, and it loaded the normal flubber, and the normal boot screen with Xecuter2 at the bottom, but it booted straight to the MSdash instead of EvolutionX. I used my original evox boot disc to try to reload EvoX, but it couldn't read the disc. I was slightly worried.

I then powered down the box, and tried to flash bank 2, and the original blue screened bios came up (sorry, but I forget what it is called). I installed my X2 4983.05 bios and it flashed properly, but when the xbox reset, it went right back to the same screen.  I could never load Evox on this bank either.

Anybody have any advice on what step I should take next? Do I need to purchase the programmer to reset my chip to factory settings?  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Again, I know I'm an idiot for resetting while updating my HD.
