I know that 1.6's eeproms and prior version xbox console eeproms are NOT interchangeable. You must use a 1.6 eeprom. As for the "genuine supplier" I have no idea.

I thought with the "live info" utility u can change the eeprom between 1.0 1.1 and 1.6  Its definately there as an option, does this not work?
