If you go on xbox live and get banned, does MS continue to charge you just for the rest of the month or is it dependant upon your subscription. If you had a 1 year subscription, would they charge you for the whole year even if you got banned within the first month? Thanks for the info.

yeah you can do a account recovery on a clean xbox, a friend of mine did it, but apparently it's a 1 strike your out situation. If he mods this xbox and gets banned, he can't recover the account anymore.

actually you can recover the account as many times as you want.. and yes, they charge you for the full time. the account doesn't get banned afterall, you can still use it on an unbanned box, so it still gets charged for.

sure by another xbox and get banned again, keep buying and modding more xboxes and buying more gamer tags

are we saying that its completely safe to reuse a account that had been used on a banned xbox? I bought another xbox yesterday simply for live and am wondering if i should cancel my account and restart another?!

As long as your new xbox is not modded you will be 100% safe even if you have been banned before. Your gamertag will be subjected to more rigerous checks, but with an un modded xbox it will pass them all.

Just think, if you took your gamertag to a freinds house on a memory card & played on his un modded xbox & got him banned. There is no way MS can do it.
