Logitech Wireless Headset And Controller
« on: November 22, 2004, 05:53:00 AM »

Well i finally did it.  I went completely wireless with my Xbox.  I purchased the Logitech wireless controller from Wal Mart for 39.99 and the wireless headset from GameStop for 79.99.  So now I am sure you are wondering what I think of them.  Well the controller has plenty of people here singing it's praises so I will assume I have a bad controller.  Everytime I hit the X button or the Y button in Halo2 the bastard fires off a few rounds for no apparant reason (sorry to those of you on my team who I have betrayed a few times, blame logitech).  Other than that the controller feels good and responds well, much better then the Pelican controller I used to use.

As far as the communicator goes I have yet to see anyone talk about this so I will give you my take on it.  Comfort wise it is great I can now sit my head back against the couch and not have it pop off my head like with the MS one.  Sound quallity is good but for some reason there is a lot of clicking and popping occurring.  It is definitely not as good as a cordless phone nor is it as cheap.  My personal opinion of this unit is that it isn't worth the $79.99 price tag when you consider how cheap cordless phones are (technology isn't much different), but if you really need a wireless headset then it is a good buy.  Personally I see no way this thing is going to stay at $79.99 for too long so if you can hold out for a while I would.  Another option I found when searching on google was an NYKO brand that was only $40 but the lack of info made me stay away from it.  I realize I didn't give much detail about the headset but I have only had it for a few days I will get back on here later to talk about battery life.
