What do I do?

What is the easiest method I can do to use my new HD with XBL when I have already activated my acct under my original harddrive?

If someone could give me with a step-by-step process of a method i could do, i would really appreciate it.

I've read the posts already up, but i need some xtra help  smile.gif

Thank you all!

buy a new eeprom before you sign into xbl for the first time with the new drive

you could have found this out using that search button up there

this is not an xbox live related question since you are really asking for hardware modification help.

the tutorial has definitely been written, but since i dont need it i wont bother finding it for you either. however, i am willing to offer this...

in the not so likely case that you have not updated your dash to live 2.0 yet, you do not need the tutorial. i think it updated in august or early september.

if you have updated, then you need to figure out which tutorial you need to replace the eeprom and then swap hd.

good luck!!

and thats were the problem lies .. !
people DO NOT READ !!

yes that method is a way of getting ya self back on live IF YA ALREADY BANNED !!

we talking about, just upgading the HDD on a xbox THATS NOT BANNED YET !!
as this would normally brak the marriage.. but is changing the eeprom at same time really a fix on a unbanned xbox ?? as in theory it should be

so PRTFQ !! (please read the fucking question)

*bump*

Reminder of what the question is:

How do you go about putting in a new hdd, and getting the eeprom from the stock hdd to get transferred over to that new hdd?

ok.. with the new idea thats come to light ...
HDDkey (thats the key thats used to unlock ya hdd everytime ya boot up ya xbox)

now i presume !! if ya upgrade ya HDD then this key will also change (but im sure it dont ! lol)
and this is what there banning ..
so in theory all ya do is note this key down .. swap HDD, then gointo configmagic, and lock the HDD ith the old key ya joted down
tutorial here, plus thead supporting idea
http://forums.xbox-s...pic=308827&st=0

as this supports the marriae theory, changing ya eeprom would do the same effect (kinda)

and remember folks, being banned and preventing banning are two diferent affairs !!
