Have you done the trouble shooter?
IF it goes throught hte montions then says "blah blah modified hardware or software"

then you've been banned.

I was banned without the hardware modified error, I think its been proven that network not found is also a ban now too if you have a modchip. I've been getting network not found for days now on my modded xbox, while my new unmodded box works fine.

The error i get is a network error. It has never said anything about being banned. So could the network error be a result of being banned and how could i check to see if i was banned or not.

You silly idiot!.....go to your trouble shooter or network connections and change your settings to automatic for IP and DNS.

All should be kool after that!

Some software you use changes the IP sometimes, for example Evox, XBMC etc.

I did switch the network settings back to automatic so thats not the case. It will configure the IP and DNS but then it gives me a network error when it tries connecting to xbox live.

Seriously ? Thats news to me!!! When I was banned all I ever saw was the HARDWARE SOFTWARE message. and I'm sure u see that everytime u connect to xboxlive.
If he cant even connect to see how will he know?
