More Support For Hdd Marriage Theory
« on: November 15, 2004, 08:34:00 AM »

Hi, I've been testing my live settings with two different xboxes for the last week or so when the bannings and the release of halo2.  Here are my results:

Xbox 1:
X3 latest bios
Went on live with stock drive replaced after first login, the following day it was banned.  Seagate 200gb drive.
V 1.1

Xbox 2:
X3 latest bios
Never went on live with stock drive, went on live with modded drive.  Maxtor 120gb drive.  HAS NOT BEEN BANNED.
V 1.1

Xbox 1 was tested with DOAU.  Xbox 2 was also tested with DOAU however, after testing and found that it was not banned, I decided to test Halo 2 as well.  STILL PLAYING AND STILL NOT BANNED.

For some of the people that got banned with just a swapped drive.  There might be another reason why.  My guess is this,  with a swapped drive, if you left the modchip on to play a retail game, the game might have saved a file or something that will be transmitted to xblive telling that this xbox is modified.  There is not sure way of telling what it is just yet.  I only found thru testing that the marriage theory is more correct.
