I think that's right,

you will get banned if you upgrade your hd, without changing your eeprom and gamertag.

I think your all wrong they are checking something that hasn't been thought of yet i just got banded yesterday my setup is xecuter 2 pro xblive blocking bios upgraded and locked hard for about 2+ years about a year before i signed on to xblive all games, apps, dashboards are on F: partition only thing they could probably see is that my drive is not the one from the factory or that i have saves that don't belong like XBMC and such everyone that is still ok is probably just on the list and will be banned soon enough!

Just my 2 cents !!!!!!!

Have you ever been banned before? Do you cheat on Xbox Live? Are you sure you didn't just make a mundane error and load the new MS Dash while your mod-chip was active (XBL Blockers don't sometimes block the MS Dash, just games)

ok im this situation:

Ive modded my xbox 2 month ago: thats what i did:

1st installed a tsop switch (x2-498x /original m$)
2nd burned a software cd (with dashes /programms etc...) to have no unsigned /other files on my hdd
3rd:every time before i went online ive checked with the data manager if i have some files on the hd.
4th: checked savegames for some "illegal" entries befor i go online

this went for 2 months well but now i got banned.

WHY???? i have the stock hdd (8gb) and NO files on it!!!!!
WHY!!!!!!!!!!!

the x2 bios u mean is the 4983 i think and its not available since 2 months!

My guess would be that you ran the MS Dashboard with a hacked bios and it connect to live. And you got banned for a mundane reason.

Need some help. I signed up for xbox Live using my Stock 8GB HD back in 2002 when xbox live first came out. Did they record my HD Seriel number or when did they start keeping track. I Upgraded to a larger HD in 2003, played Live for weeks with no problems. I know i upgrade the hardrive before MS Dashboard 2.0 , Am i safe from the ban?

yes i am positive i never ever signed on with chip on! i have never been banned in just over one year . this is my first and only account i just renewd too mad.gif you can't launch ms dash when chip is turned on unless you browsed to it though XBMC and no one in my house knows how to do that !   i'm telling you this database is probably from the factory they know model and serial of the hard drive you should have and this is now being migrated into the xbox live security

If you have upgraded your hdd, and played XBL on both the stock hdd and the new upgraded one (resulting in a ban), are both hdd's affected?  If you get a new EEPROM, could you use either of these hdd's or are they both banned?
