Cancel Your Live Subscription If You Are Banned

If you have been banned remember to call and cancel your xbox live subscription so the they do not auto charge you.I know M$ will not care if we cancel  but you do not want to give them any more money if you have been banned

On their own wish smile.gif. I am sure they're happy!

Dumb fucks... what else can we call them? LOL. Too bad I have enough money for a new Xbox and AFAIK they don't earn much on one sold Xbox ;p.

Lol I bet today has been one of the biggest days for cancellation they had.

I bet its one of the biggest days for signups they've ever had.  I'll even been they've had more signups than cancelations.  Think about it...

Actually it's not that SMALL of a loss. I forget how much it is. So don't buy a used one, buy a nice shiny new one and make MS lose money. You keep your old one as well and any piracy MS was trying to stamp out can continue. This policy makes little to no sense to me. The games I was going to play on Live on my modded Xbox are the same games I'll play on a new one, they've just lost more money by me having to buy two.

here is my situation. I had a soft mod with a 120 g hdd, two days ago i put the stock hdd in and deleted everything that was not stock. I got on live that day, late last night i got on Halo 2 and i was banned.
I know somebody who is going to sell me his xbox for $50. he says it has dd errors. ( i should be able to fix that )

So my question is, can i use my banned gamertag? or do i need to get a new one? is there any evidence they are flagging gamertags?

the xbox is banned.  not the account.  i got banned last night as well (200gb drive).  just recovered my tag on an unmodded box i bought a few days earlier (in prep to mod that one).  been off and on live at least 5 times.  so far so good.  and this box has a tommy drive swapped out.  i took the sammy out of it and put it into the modded box.  so my gamer tag is still good.  just not the box.  i'm still gonna mod them.  just gonna put in the stock drive as well as the big drive, throw in the switch, and try to be careful.

Did they not offer to unban or anything like that?  On the website link that the ban points you to, it seems as though you can ring up and state that you aren't using a mod, I wonder if anyone has actually tried this (or even stated that they use the mod for Linux only)

I called up and cancelled, they bounced me around 4 operators. I told them I got a message claiming that my xbox was modified. I told them I was not about to spend another $150 to play online. They cancelled me no problem.

If Xlink supports Halo2, then I will start using xlink

Dave

X-Link supports all system games, even ones that aren't even made yet.

No, they don't unban people over the phone, or anything. And besides, people are banned for a certain reason, not just out of the blue.

"You may receive this error message because Xbox Live does not support modified hardware or software. If you think this is not the case, please contact Xbox Support."

I bet the last part of that is just there to seem professional then... Nevermind, I'll just use an eeprom that a friend's donated until they ban it, then I'll get another XBox
